Hello, this is TM producer Sarah.

Summer is finally here, it's so so hot.

Today, continuing from last week, I will tell you how to create a story for a video that needs to be started without a proper plan, such as a meeting, event, or missionary video.

This week, I'm going to continue that video by showing you how to set up your gear so that one person can create a video with the least amount of gear while still getting the most out of it .

Let's get straight to the point and explain the equipment first.

Please refer to the description box for detailed equipment details.

First, we would like to introduce the list to you.

First, you need to have a main camera.

(Of course) I think it would be good to have at least two lenses even if you only have one camera.

First of all, the 50mm single lens is the most commonly used lens because it is said to be similar to the human eye.

I think it would be a good idea to purchase a 50mm single lens if possible.

If you have some spare time, I have a 16-35mm zoom lens.

Having a wide zoom lens is very useful for shooting outdoor shots, or shots where you need to get a wide overall shot, such as a concert, or other documentary shots .

I think it would be a good idea to have the 16-35mm as well.

(You can take pictures with just 50mm) If you can afford one more thing, (it's very expensive ㅠㅠ) the lens I have is an 85mm lens.

It's useful when you want to go further than 50mm and are too far away to take the shot.

The 85mm creates more depth, so if I want to create insert shots or pretty cinematic shots, I tend to quickly change lenses and take another shot with the 85mm if I have time.

There are some accessories that are necessary for your camera, but are extremely important: a tripod and a monopod.

A tripod is an essential piece of equipment for any shoot to ensure stable shooting .

In cases like this, where there is a lot of movement, such as shooting missionary work or gatherings , and there is not enough time to set up, it is actually difficult to work with a tripod.

So, a monopod is actually a piece of equipment that I use more than a tripod.

For events or specific shoots, I highly recommend purchasing a monopod that allows you to quickly set up from a variety of angles, since you can't plan in advance what angle you'll be shooting from .

It helps to avoid shaking when holding the camera in your hand, but it is also very helpful in capturing movement.

If you show a movement like this, such as setting up a monopod like a lever in the middle and turning it like this, or setting it up like a lever and pushing it like this, you will get shots that come out naturally when you edit later.

As you practice more and more, you will be able to get good shots, so if you want to add some movement to bring out the dynamics and create a cinematic technique, you can easily use a monopod like this.

And another piece of gear that I love is the GoPro.

In fact, there are many cases where our team has to go out to film alone, and in cases like these special filming cases, we have to travel and carry a lot of luggage, so it can be quite physically burdensome.

If you want to take all of this pictures and handle it by yourself, you'll need to keep your equipment to a minimum.

Even if I had the money to spare, I think it would be a bit burdensome to use a second camera.

The GoPro can be used as a second camera because it's very light and easy to carry around, and the quality is surprisingly satisfactory, so it can be used for things like taking B-roll shots like a second camera, but the advantage of the GoPro is that you can easily shoot time-lapses when you're moving around outdoors.

The GoPro itself has a function that can shoot time-lapse videos.

Also, because the GoPro is so light, you can carry it around without any burden, and if you come across a beautiful scenery, you can naturally take a time-lapse video.

Next is lighting.

If you're shooting outdoors, you don't need that much lighting.

And even in situations where lighting is needed, we don't use it much because we don't have enough time to set it up .

But there is still a case where you absolutely must bring lighting, and that is for interviews.

There are many cases where the interview quality is very good, but the overall video looks very high-quality .

In order to film a high-quality interview, you need at least three lights, and those three lights need to have stands.

Also, when filming an interview, the overall lighting needs to be soft, so a softbox is needed.

Because it's so big and difficult to carry around, in my case, I'm shooting using a cheaper option like a white umbrella and attaching it to an adapter .

Next is sound.

When shooting sound, most people tend to buy a boom mic and connect it directly to the camera to capture the best quality sound .

I'm recording right now, and I'm using a RODE mic, a boom mic, and if I mount it on a stand like this and use it, the sound gets better.

So, when I do interviews, I do this and also install a wireless microphone to double record in case there are any sound issues .

Even in the case of the Jordan video I mentioned last time, there was an interview that had to be done after the concert, but the surroundings were very noisy and tumultuous.

In that situation, when people are talking, it is difficult to pick up their voices even if the camera has a boom mic attached, so in those cases, I use this Olympus wireless recorder.

It takes a lot of time to connect everything like this and attach it here .

So this thing just has a microphone inside the machine.

So, if you use it like this, the sound will be recorded well enough.

If you find this a bit annoying, then even if you shoot at this level and record at this level, it's really good to listen to.

This is one of the items I definitely recommend because it is cheap and the sound quality is much better than what you get without it .

Now that we have all our gear ready, we need to pack it.

In particular, we often had to go on mission trips or to remote areas.

In those cases, if the equipment is not packed in a way that is easy to carry, it can be very disruptive to the entire trip and filming, so packing well is extremely important.

Even if you have to accept that the quality may be poor, I would like to recommend that you bring an amount of equipment that you can physically handle.

Especially for me, I'm a woman and I'm not very strong, so I don't have a lot of stamina, so traveling to those places is a huge drain on my stamina.

But on top of that, I had to film there, and it was difficult to carry the equipment around, so it was difficult in many ways.

First of all, we have a lot of long equipment.

Since you definitely need things like a riding stand, tripod, and monopod, I buy a large gear bag with wheels and put everything in it.

I put all the things like lighting stands in there, and I put the microphone stand in there, and I put the monopod and tripod in there.

Lighting is also usually done by making a room and placing small lighting equipment on top of it .

The second most important thing is your backpack.

This is the backpack we carry with us wherever we go.

This backpack should contain all the basic equipment necessary for filming, such as a camera, lenses, batteries, and sound equipment, such as a boom mic or wireless mic .

The bag we bought isn't that great, but the compartments are relatively well-organized for its size, so we can open the holes to take out the lenses and put them in, so we're satisfied with it and using it well.

Finally, I'd like to give you some tips on how to go about maintaining these devices.

When you go to a store, you usually call it a base.

To some extent, most of the filming takes place there.

Most events, such as rallies, take place inside one building.

But in some cases, we go to places like mission fields, so there are a lot of instances where we get to go out and travel or meet people.

When you do that kind of shooting, you put all your lighting equipment there, wherever the base is, and just carry around with the backpack I mentioned before.

Wherever you go, it's a good idea to always take a monopod with you.

It will be very helpful if you know how to use each lens.

I don't know how quickly the coronavirus will recover, but I'm praying for the projects we have to do and the directions we should take going forward.

I would appreciate it if you all could give me a lot of support and interest.

We are planning an "Ordinary Christian Series" where we will share stories of various Christians overcoming difficulties and living their lives, stories that may seem ordinary but are extraordinary to God .

If you are interested, please contact me privately or leave a comment and I will contact you and we will try to find and share his story, those hidden stories .

Please use us as mediators a lot.

If you are interested, please contact us again.

Well then, everyone stay healthy.

See you in the next video.

Bye! Uh oh oh oh
